LAND OF ISRAEL EXPERIENCE
Journey through the Land of Israel without leaving home!
Travel the length and breath of the Land of Israel without leaving home! Host a workshop at your synagogue and journey from the rolling hills of Galilee in the north to the Negev desert and Red Sea in the south. We will view the landscapes, visit biblical sites, explore archeological mounds, see modern Tel Aviv and Haifa, ascend to Mt. Carmel, hike through stunning nature, as Zack share’s personal reflections from over 25 years of exploring Israel and retells the stories of our Land and people.
A special message from Zack Shavin
Shalom! A visit to the Land of Israel is the greatest of journeys. While Israel is a land rich in color, history, people, and diverse natural landscapes, it is also “haaretz” – “the land”- that touches the heart and soul – the neshama- of every Jew. To explore it is to partake in a life long journey that opens many windows and doors. As we make the journey together, our story begins with Abraham 4000 years ago, and extends down through the ages to modern day Israel. Whether you have been to Israel before or never had the opportunity, I invite you to join me in the experience.
Shalom! Shalom! Zack Shavin, Jerusalem, Israel
Seminar Presentation
Using slide images of the sites, maps, specially prepared handouts, and even some Hebrew song, we will spend time together in an informal atmosphere, as Zack leads us through Israel- ancient and modern: Not only will we journey in the footsteps of Abraham, Moses, King David, and the stories of the Bible, but we will also get to know modern Israel – people, places, modern day towns, and beautiful nature parks- from Eilat in the south to the Golan and Metulla in the north.
